PGA Junior Championship
     The PGA Junior Championship (formerly Maxfli PGA Junior Championship) is a national junior championship event. This event is open to boys and girls who are 17 and under through the final round at the National Championship which is August 26th. Juniors ages 14-17 will have to attempt to qualify at an 18-hole qualifying site. The junior may try to qualify only once.

This year there will be eight qualifying sites to choose from. Juniors ages 14-15 will play together and juniors ages 16-17 will play together. From each qualifying site, those who qualify will be invited to participate at the Minnesota PGA Junior Championship. This is a two-day, 36-hole event. The overall lowest scratch boy and girl from the Minnesota PGA Junior Championship will represent the Minnesota Section at the national PGA Junior Championship. Only juniors who play in the 14-17 age groups are eligible. The national PGA Junior Championship will be held at the PGA NATIONAL GC in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, August 23rd – August 26th. The entry fee for juniors age 14-17 is $25.00
     The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association will also conduct a Minnesota PGA Junior Championship for juniors ages 13 & Under. Juniors who participate in this will not have to qualify, but space is limited. Juniors ages 12-13 will play 18 holes and juniors ages 11 & Under will play 9 holes. Dates and sites for the Minnesota PGA Junior Championships and qualifiers are listed below. The entry fee is $20.00 for juniors age 12-13 and $10.00 for age 11 and under.
