Westfield Junior Golf Tournament Information

The Westfield Junior PGA Championship is a national junior championship event. This event is open to boys and girls who are 18 and under (NEW in 2006) through the final round of the Junior PGA Championship on August 13, 2006 and who have not started college.

Juniors ages 13-18 will have to attempt to qualify at an 18-hole qualifying site. The junior may try to qualify only once. This year there will be six qualifying sites to choose from. Juniors ages 13-15 will play together and juniors ages 16-18 will play together. From each qualifying site, those who qualify will be invited to participate at the Westfield Junior Minnesota PGA Championship. This is a two-day, 36-hole event. The overall lowest scratch boy and girl from the Westfield Junior Minnesota PGA Championship will represent the Minnesota Section at the National WESTFIELD JUNIOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP. Only juniors who play in the 13-18 age groups are eligible. The National Westfield Junior PGA Championship will be held at the Westfield Group Country Club in Westfield Center, Ohio, August 10-13, 2006.

The junior may try to qualify only once. This year there will be six qualifying sites to choose from. Juniors ages 13-15 will play together and juniors ages 16-18 will play together. Entry fee is $35.00.

The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association will also conduct a Westfield Junior Minnesota PGA Championship for juniors ages 12 & under. Juniors who participate in this will not have to qualify, but space is limited. Juniors ages 12 & under will play 9 holes. The entry fee for the 12 & under is $20.
