Nov/Dec 2001 Newsletter
  Assistance Greatly Appreciated!
The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association is an organization that has affected and influenced the lives of many junior golfers since 1976. In order for us to be able to do this we need teamwork from a lot of people. In our last issue of "Divot Dispatch", the September/October issue we briefly mentioned some of the people who assisted us this past year.
Unfortunately since the last time we spoke with you a great tragedy took place. The September 11th terrorist attack was a horrible tragedy that we will never forget. It sometimes takes a tragedy to make you realize how valuable and special life really is. The terrorist attack has made us further realize how fortunate we were to have the cooperation we had this past year.
We conducted over 125 events this past season and there is no way this could have happened without the help from some special people. We have listed these individuals by name:
Junior Golf Academy Co-Coordinators:
Greg Schulze & Jim "Red" Marquardt, PGA Professionals
On-Site Administrators:
Cindy Cannon • Keeley Dolan • Kristin Dooley • Levi Fladebo Wayne Gilbertson •  Bob Gorden • Ben Greve • Katrina Hammell • Alexa Hanson • Rick Jeddeloh •  Lindsay Johnson • Angela Kippley • Cathy Knutson • Jeanne Larson •  Laura Rofshus • Megan Stier • Dan Suedbeck • Andrew Tank •  Sara Thompson • Sloan Wallgren • Jesse Wesp • Kirstin Whalen • Brett Wondra
Computer Lottery Developer:
Joe Whalen
Web-site Developer:
Paul Grovum, PGA Professional
Summer Interns:
Brooke Hokana and Lauren Essig
We would like to thank again all of the facilities that hosted a 2001 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association event. Without the support from these facilities the juniors would not have a place to play and improve their game. The 2001 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association season will not be forgotten. We cannot give enough recognition to these people! God Bless America!

  Mulligans
In the last issue of "Divot Dispatch," we accidentally omitted two holes-in-one that occurred during the 2001 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association season:
At The Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan, MN, Players' Tour member Kristina Kurcinka aced the 125-yard 11th hole. At Wild Marsh in Buffalo, MN, Players' Tour member Jennifer Carpenter had a hole-in-one on the 130-yard 4th hole. She used a 7 iron for the fantastic shot.
We sincerely apologize for these omissions.

  MNPGA JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association is proud to offer the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association scholarships again in 2001. The criteria for this scholarship are based on grades and extra-curricular activities. The scholarships are available only to 2001 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association members who are going to be seniors in high school for the 2001-02 school year. The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Committee will vote and make the final decision on whom they think is most deserving of the scholarships. Individuals interested in obtaining more information about the scholarship can call the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association at (763) 754-6641. The application needs to be returned by Friday, November 30, 2001.
