Thank You for a Great Year! |
The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association had another fantastic year. We were fortunate enough to have over 1700 members in our program and provide over 125 playing opportunities.
I would also like to thank all of the facilities who were kind enough to host a 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association event. Without the support from these facilities, the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association could not exist. More importantly, junior golfers would not have a place to play. Thank you again everyone! I cannot thank you enough for all of the hard work and effort you did for us this past year.

My Perspective |
Bob and I are winding down, as our busy season is over. Now I finally get to sit back in amazement at how much work it is to manage 1700 members! I would not trade this job for any other, however. I love being involved in Junior Golf, because I get to see the upcoming talent in the sport. We have some talented kids in our program! As someone who played a lot of junior golf, I feel good knowing I am giving something back to the game. I am happy to answer any questions about golf, whether they are about practice techniques or preparing for golf in college. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
I want to thank Bob Bush for doing such a wonderful job. He really works hard to provide more playing opportunities for junior golfers. I am learning a lot from him. I also want to thank David Sheets, our intern for the summer, for his hard work and caddying expertise at the State Amateur this summer. One last thanks goes to the On-Site Administrators who did a great job running the events for us. Without your help, Bob and I could never run a program of this size. It is great to see that so many people have interest in the game of golf.

We Need Your Help! |
We have already started planning for the 2001 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Season. We anticipate continuing growth in our membership and have some plans that will hopefully make the program better for everyone. In order to do this, we need your help and support! We need more support from facilities in the Twin Cities metro area. If you, your parents, or someone you know is a member of a facility and they are interested in hosting a Minnesota PGA Junior Event in the year 2001, have the individual(s) call Bob Bush or Melanie Leap at the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Office at 763-754-6641.
