Why are we making the change to all 36-hole events for Players Tour events?
For our events to provide better value to you, we are changing from 18-hole events to 36-hole events. The Players Tour will be offering competitive 36-hole individual stroke play tournaments. The Players Tour tournaments will be recognized by the Junior Golf Scoreboard as well as AJGA Performance Based Entry (PBE). Events must be 36-holes for this to happen, must be played at a certain yardage and also meet a minimum field size requirement. We are making this change to all 36-hole events to be more competitive with other regional and national junior golf events. These scores are looked at by collegiate coaches for recruiting purposes as well as elite playing programs.
