| Chris Larson Age 19 Austin, MN | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Most memorable experience(s) occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "I was in a play-off at Hidden Creek in Owatonna. After shooting a 74 and tying for medalist I went to get my bag, picked it up and started the play-off. Once I got to the green I went to grab my putter and realized it wasn't there. The putter must have gotten stolen, but I didn't let it get me down. I then two-putted with my sand wedge from 40 feet to save par and win." What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Don't get stressed out about getting a scholarship. Your most important summer is the one before your senior year; the others are mostly just practicing to become better. Even if your last summer doesn't go well you can still have a good opportunity as a walk-on." Additional Activites/Hobbies: Chris also enjoys hunting, playing badminton and lifting weights.

| Mark Anderson Age 17 Sioux Falls, SD | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "The most memorable experiences for me while participating in a Minnesota PGA event were shooting a 67 at Prairie Green GC in Sioux Falls and playing at Hazeltine in the Mid-Summer Classic. The 67 at Prairie Green was so memorable because it was the first time I had shot in the 60's and the Mid-Summer Classic was memorable because I was fortunate enough to play a former U.S. Open course well and win with a 74. What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "The first tip I would say is to just practice as much as possible. The more you practice, the better you will get. The second thing I would say is to always make sure you are having fun. Don't get mad or hard on yourself so that it stops being fun because everyone makes mistakes and one round isn't the end of the world." Additional Activities/Hobbies: Mark enjoys playing ping pong and chess, and he is an Eagle Scout. He also plays basketball, tennis and sandlot baseball with his friends. Mark is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Forget everything that's going on in your life besides golf. Accept that to get good shots you have to have bad ones. Work hard, never give up, and have a good time. Remember that a 200-yard drive counts the same as a 3-foot putt. Additional Activites/Hobbies: In the 8th grade at Faribault Middle School, Katie has a 4.0 grade point average. She plays piano, she downhill ski's, and plays varsity hockey for Faribault High School. Questions or comments?
