  Samantha Braschler     Age 17     Red Wing, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Samantha is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "A" Girls Champion. She earned 425.00 points by placing first in two events and second in two events. Samantha finished in a tie for fourth at the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions at Izaty's Golf & Yacht Club. Other highlights include winning the Red Wing Invite with a score of 77, and being Section 1AA Champion with scores of 78 and 79.
     Most memorable experience(s) occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Breaking the 100, 90, and 80 barriers, and making a lot of good friends."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Practice, practice, practice. Never give up, and take one shot at a time."
     Additional Activites/Hobbies: Samantha has been on the Varsity basketball team for two years. She also enjoys hanging out with friends and jet-skiing.
 
  Sarah Butler     Age 16     Roseau, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Sarah is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "B" Girls Champion. She earned 363.33 points, placing first twice, second once, and third twice. Sarah qualified for the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions at Izaty's Golf & Yacht Club, where she finished ninth. Other highlights include placing in the top 10 at the Class "A" Minnesota State High School Golf Tournament every year since she was in 7th grade. Sarah was a member of the 2000 victorious Roseau team, and she placed 8th individually. The Roseau girls MGA team also won the state MGA tournament this summer, with Sarah placing 5th individually.
     Most Memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Playing the Preserve (Grandview Lodge) this summer was great. I had a good day - shooting a 76 - and won the tournament. It was a great course to play on."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Make sure you have a goal in mind while you are practicing. It will get worse before it gets better. Never give up and never quit practicing."
     Additional Activities/Hobbies: Sarah is on the "B" Honor Roll. She plays trombone in band and jazz band. She is an active member in her church youth group, and she loves being with her friends. She also has a part-time job.
 
  Dana Moening     Age 16     Cold Spring, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Dana is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Girls Player of the Year, finishing the year with 600.83 points. Dana also is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "C" Girls Champion. She earned 512.50 points in her series. Dana placed or tied for first in four events, placed second once, and third once. Dana tied for fourth at the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions at Izaty's Golf & Yacht Club. She was a member of the Minnesota team for the 2000 Minnesota/Wisconsin PGA Junior Cup Matches. Other highlights include placing fourth in the Class "AA" Minnesota State Golf Tournament, placing third at the MWGA Girls State Championship, and playing in the Minnesota/Manitoba Cup Matches.
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "I made so many good friends playing in the Junior PGA events. These are people that I would not have otherwise met, but now they are friends for life."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "If you keep a positive attitude, work hard, and enjoy the game, you'll be amazed at how much you can accomplish."
     Additional Activities/Hobbies: Dana also plays volleyball and basketball. She is a member of Target, SADD, the Drug-Free Team, and the National Honor Society.
 
  Krista Swanson     Age 15     Forest Lake, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Krista is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "D" Girls Champion. She finished with 430.00 points, placing first twice, second twice, and third once. Krista is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Cup Champion in the Girls 14-15 division at Hudson GC. In the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Junior Tour, Krista was medallist at River Oaks GC, Bristol Ridge GC, and Braemar GC. Other highlights include being a Class "AA" Minnesota State High School Golf Tournament participant.
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Conquering the back nine at River Oaks GC with a one-under par 35, and shooting a 74 overall."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Always play fair, and always play by the rules. If you cheat, you'll never improve."
     Additional Activities/Hobbies: Krista plays the piano and clarinet. She enjoys biking, shopping, badminton, reading, kayaking and cross-country skiing.
 
  Andy Link     Age 17     Rochester, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Andy is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "A" Boys Champion. He finished with 490.83 points, winning the final Series "A" event at Valley View GC. Andy qualified for the Minnesota PGA Junior Championship by shooting a 70 at Eastwood GC. Other highlights include playing on an MGA team this summer with his friends, playing in the Pepsi Little People's Tournament in Quincy, Illinois, and playing in an AJGA event in Nisswa. Andy has been on the Century High School team since 8th grade, and he plays golf whenever he can find the time. He enjoys playing on the many different and challenging golf courses
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "My most memorable experience was winning the final Junior Series event this year and being awarded Series "A" Champion. Other than that win, I will never forget all the people I have had the opportunity to meet through Junior PGA and what extremely nice and well-rounded individuals they are."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Relax on the course. Everybody has found a swing that can work for them. All they have to do, including myself, is to let it happen."
     Additional Activites/Hobbies: Andy is a defenseman for his varsity hockey team. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and spending time with his friends.

 
  Mike Fiedler     Age 16     Faribault, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Mike is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "B" Boys Champion. He earned 430.00 points without winning any events in that series. He finished second once and third once. Mike was a member of the 2000 Minnesota team for the Minnesota/Wisconsin PGA Junior Cup Matches. He lost the four-ball match 3 & 2, but won his individual match 5 & 3.
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Playing on team Minnesota. It was a great experience, with great competition."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Practice on your short-game as much as possible. The long game will come eventually.
     Additional Activities/Hobbies:
Mike has a 3.1 GPA, participates in Cross Country and works at Faribault G&CC in his spare time.
 
  Justin Krulik     Age 17     Chanhassen, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Justin is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "C" Boys Champion. He earned 392.50 points by finishing first once and third twice in his series. Justin qualified for the Minnesota PGA Junior Championship by shooting a 74 at Edinburgh USA. Justin placed third at the 2000 Class "AA" Minnesota State High School Golf Tournament at Bunker Hills GC. Other tournaments Justin participated in this summer include; the PGA Junior Series in Hawaii, the AAU State Championship at Majestic Oaks GC, the MPGA State Championship at Baker National GC, and the Classic Lake Championship at Dahlgreen GC. Justin is also the 2000 Dahlgreen GC Club Champion.
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Shooting a one-under par 71 to win the St. Cloud CC Players' Tour event. The points from this victory allowed me to win the Series C group on the PGA Players' Tour."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Just keep playing because your next shot is the most important shot you have to hit."
     Additional Activities/Hobbies:
Justin is a big fan of college and professional football. Currently, he is the kicker for the Minnetonka Skippers Football team. He is looking for a college that offers a Professional Golf Management Degree.
 
  Ryan Alsleben     Age 18     Hutchinson, MN
       Junior Golf Highlights/Accomplishments: Ryan is the 2000 Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Association Players' Tour Series "D" Boys Champion. He earned 558.33 points by finishing first twice and second twice in his series. Ryan was a member of the 2000 Minnesota team in the Minnesota/Wisconsin PGA Junior Cup matches. Other highlights include winning his high school Conference meet, being on the Section Championship team, placing 3rd at the Class "AA" Minnesota State High School Golf Meet, and winning the 2000 Crow River CC Club Championship.
     Most memorable experience(s) that occurred while participating in a Minnesota PGA Junior Event: "Participating in the Minnesota/Wisconsin Border Tournament, having the opportunity to play all the great courses, and meeting other golfers."
     What are some tips/advice that you would recommend to other juniors to help them with their game? "Practice, practice & Have Fun!"
     Additional Activities/Hobbies: Ryan is currently attending Indian Hills Junior College in Ottumwa, Iowa, where he is a member of the golf team.
