What program am I eligible for based on my age?
You are eligible for the program based on your age as of September 1, 2020. The Minny/Prep Tours are for juniors ages 7-12. The Junior Tour is for juniors ages 13-19. Juniors who have reached their 19th birthday prior to September 1, 2020 are eligible only if they have immediately finished their senior year of high school.
How much does it cost to become a member of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf 'Sota Series?
The membership cost for the Minny/Prep Tour Membership (Ages 7-12) is $75.00 and the Junior Tour membership (Ages 13-19) is $100.00.
How do I become a member of the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf 'Sota Series?
Membership registration for Minny/Prep and Junior Tour Membership will start on Monday, February 17, 2020.

– Returning Members from previous years will need their ID and Password for BlueGolf to register for a 2020 Membership.
After you have submitted the form, you will receive an e-mail confirming we received your application and it is pending approval. Once it is approved, you will receive another e-mail within 2 business days informing you of your MN PGA Junior Players Club ID and Password. We must manually approve all memberships to ensure the junior is in the proper tour(s) for their age and playing ability. This results in fast approval, but not instant approval.
What if I sign up for a membership and then need to cancel the membership?
Juniors who wish to cancel their Minnesota PGA Junior Golf ‘Sota Series program membership must do so seven (7) days prior to the date of the first event of the 2020 season, which is Monday, June 8, 2020. A $20.00 processing fee will be deducted from ALL refunds. Any cancellations after the onset of the 2020 season will forfeit all rights to any refunds distributed by the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf ‘Sota Series. In the case of an emergency, written requests for refunds must be submitted to the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Office. In order to be considered for a refund due to illness or injury, a doctor’s/physician’s note must accompany the written request. All emergency-related refund requests will be considered on their own merits. A $20.00 processing fee will still be deducted from all membership refunds even if we have received a doctor’s note.
What does the service fee in BlueGolf cover?
The service fee enables us to cover merchant fees when customers use credit cards to make purchases. The Minnesota PGA Junior Golf ‘Sota Series implemented a service fee of 3% in 2019 that customers will see when they complete their transactions.
What are the entry fees for events?
The cost for each 18-Hole Junior Tour and Prep Tour tournament is $29.00 and the cost for each 9-Hole Minny Tour and Prep Tour tournament is $17.00. We will only accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express payment for tournament fees. All tournament registration is done online through your BlueGolf MN PGA Junior Players Club account. NO registration is done over the phone.
How do you walk on to a Minny, Prep or Junior Tour Event?
Any junior who is a member of the Minny/Prep Tour may only attempt to walk on at any Minny and/or Prep Tour event. A Junior Tour member may only attempt to walk on at any of the Junior Tour events. Juniors who go to an event on the day of the event hoping someone will no-show MAY be allowed to play on a first come first serve basis. These entries will be eligible to win a medal regardless if they are filling a no-show spot in their respective age group. REMINDER: If you are walking on to an 18-hole Junior Tour or Prep Tour Event the entry fee will be $35.00 and for a 9-hole Minny/Prep Tour Event it will be $20.00 (cash or check only for the appropriate amount).
What is the Tournament Selection Process?
The Tournament Selection Process (lottery draw) is done for the Minny/Prep/Junior Tour Events. The tournament selection process will start on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (CST) when the Minny, Prep and Junior Tour schedules are released on our website. You will have until Friday, April 24, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. (CST) to make your tournament selections in your Minnesota PGA Junior Players Club account. Selections will NOT be processed on a first come, first serve basis. You have the same chance as everyone else if you make your tournament selections by the stated deadline date.
How do I select my tournaments?
Beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (CST) members will be able to log into their MN PGA Junior Players Club account using their ID and Password and select the events they would like to play in. When doing your online tournament selection, you will be asked to rate your preference for the events that you would like to participate. There will be a drop down list of sticker numbers (Minny/Prep Tour Members 1-15 and Junior Tour Members 1-20). The stickers are used to designate your preference for the events you would like to play in. Select one sticker number from the drop down list for each tournament. #1 designates your MOST preferred event, #15 (for Minny/Prep Tour Members) or #20 (for Junior Tour Members) your LEAST preferred. This does not mean that you have to try and sign up for the maximum amount of tournaments allowed for each program.
How do I enter tournaments?
On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the 2020 tournaments will be open for selections through your MN PGA Junior Players Club account (you can access the login through our home page). You will only receive a MN PGA Junior Players Club account after you are confirmed for a 2020 Minny/Prep Tour Membership or Junior Tour Membership. You will be able to check out the Minny Tour, Prep Tour and Junior Tour Schedules on the front page of our website or by logging into your Junior Players Club account. You will not receive a mailing with the tournament schedule. All tournament selections will be accepted until the stated deadline date of Friday, April 24, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. (CST) and payment will not be processed until after this date. No late selections will be considered.
If you miss the deadline date, you may still sign up for tournaments after the initial selections have been sent out. Tournament selection will reopen and you are able to sign up for any open spots in all appropriate Tour tournaments. Tournament selection at this stage is now first come first serve.
We will ONLY accept MasterCard,VISA and American Express payment for tournament fees. Checks WILL NOT be accepted! You will only be charged for the tournaments that you receive after the Tournament Selection Process is completed. Selections will not be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Everyone has the same chance as long as they sign up for their membership and get their tournament picks in by the deadline date of Friday, April 24, 2020 at 4:30 p.m. (CST).
When do I find out which events I got into through the Tournament Selection Process?
All tournament confirmations will be sent by email. You will receive an email confirmation for each tournament you have been selected to. For example, if you were selected for five tournaments, you will receive five emails. . These confirmation emails will start going out the week of May 11, 202. Players will also be able to view their confirmed tournament schedule online by accessing their MN PGA Junior Players Club account. What is our refund policy?
If a junior must cancel out of an event, a partial refund will be made only if the MN PGA Junior Golf Office is notified before 11:59 p.m. (CST), at least seven days prior to the event. **If you cancel out of an event at least seven days prior to the event you will receive a full refund minus a $5.00 processing fee for a 9-hole event and a $10.00 processing fee for an 18-hole event. If a junior is not able to make it to an event due to a personal reason and it is less than seven days prior to the event, including the day of the event, we still ask that you inform us of your cancellation, but no refunds will be given.

I can’t make it to an event that I signed up for. What should I do?
You should contact the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Office as soon as possible. If a junior must cancel out of an event, a refund will be made ONLY if the MN PGA Junior Golf Office is notified before 11:59 p.m. (CST), at least seven days prior to the event. NOTE: If you cancel out of an event at least seven days prior to the event by 11:59 p.m. (CST) you will receive a full refund minus a processing fee.
When will I receive my refund for the events I cancelled under the appropriate guidelines?
You will receive an email confirmation that your tournament cancellation has been processed. If applicable, the refund amount is automatically put back on the credit card that was used to pay for the tournament.
What is the MN PGA Junior Players Club?
Once juniors have completed the membership process they are assigned a MN PGA Junior Players Club ID and Password, which they can then use to access their own MN PGA Junior Players Club account on our home page at www.minnesotajuniorgolf.com. This is the junior’s personal account where they can review membership, sign up for tournaments, check stats and much more. Members can also personalize their account with biographical information, a picture and more.
I don’t have an email address, what should I do?
Every member MUST have an active email address. From many other sources available, we suggest signing up for a free email account through www.Hotmail.com or www.gmail.com or www.Yahoo.com. It is quick and easy. All confirmation emails for membership and tournaments will be sent out by email. We do not mail anything out anymore.
I am scheduled to play in a tee time event, how do I find out my tee time?
If you are scheduled to play in an event where the start time indicates, “Tee times,” you will receive an email with your tee time at least (3) days prior to the scheduled event date. You will also be able to access your tee time at www.minnesotajuniorgolf.com at least (3) days prior to the scheduled event date. You will click on the Event Schedule under the Minny Tour or Prep Tour or Junior Tour and click on the info button for the tournament that you are checking tee times for. If you do not have access to our web site you can contact the Minnesota PGA Junior Golf Office at 763-754-6641 to find out your tee time. Please call during normal office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Please do not call the host facility to find your tee time.
How will I know if an event has been cancelled due to weather?
Unfortunately, our On-Site Administrators will not be able to postpone or cancel the tournament until they have sufficient evidence that the severe weather will remain in the area. They usually will not make that decision until the scheduled start time of the event. The tournament will not be postponed or cancelled due to rain only, unless it is extremely heavy and promotes flooding on the golf course and the course becomes unplayable. Severe weather is defined by lightning, thunder, tornadoes, and hail. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to weather and you are not able to make the new date you will receive a full refund minus a processing fee of $5.00.
When will I receive my Membership Kit?
The first 1400 juniors that sign up for a Minny/Prep Tour or Junior Tour membership will receive a membership kit. We hope to have membership kits mailed out by the first week of June.
How do I qualify for the Warrior Cup in my age group?
The Warrior Cup is the year-end championship for the Junior Tour. You must win a Junior Tour event in your age group to be eligible.
Do we allow caddies for our events?
The only program that caddies will be allowed in will be the Minny Tour and Prep Tour.
We DO NOT allow any caddies for Junior Tour events. On the Junior Tour players must either carry their own clubs or use a pull/push cart.
