Become A 'Sota Series Member

This is the process to play in Minny Tour, Prep Tour, or Junior Tour events. The Players Tour is an invitation-only Tour and has different registration procedures and requirements for membership.

In order to play in 'Sota Series events, you must first become a member. Membership must be renewed each year. The membership registration period opens in late winter to early spring.

After the membership registration period has been open for a few weeks, the Tournament Schedule is released. This schedule is view-only so that you can start to build your child's schedule for the coming season as it fits in with the rest of your family's schedule.

After the schedule has been released, there is a two-week open selection period, referred to as the lottery selection process. Since several of the tournaments in the Twin Cities metro area for Minny, Prep, and Junior Tours fill quickly, doing a random lottery is the most equitable way to assign tournament spots. You are encouraged to sign up for as many events as you'd like, and we ask you to rank your preference of events. You will not be charged for events at this time as we will not know which events your child is selected to until the lottery sign up period is over. As long as you make your selection picks in the two-week lottery selection timeframe, your picks will be added to the lottery. This is NOT a first come, first served instance.

After the lottery period closes, no additional requests for tournaments will be accepted. There is a down-time where the Minnesota Section PGA Junior Golf staff conducts the lottery and places your child into the events through our registration platform, Bluegolf. You will be notified individually via e-mail for EACH event your child receives from the lottery. Your credit card on file with Bluegolf will be charged at that time.

If you missed the lottery period, did not get into an event that you wanted, or want to get into more events, there is a waitlist for all tournaments that are full. You can fill out the waitlist form and if a spot becomes available, Minnesota PGA Junior Golf staff will notify you that your child has been assigned a spot in that tournament. If there are spots at tournaments that did not fill, you are welcome to sign up for those events on a first come first served basis.
